Photoluminescent reflective vinyl
One film with two functions:can be both reflective and glow in the dark.
How does it work? (Technical Principle)
1)Surface Layer (Reflective Layer): Utilizes microprisms or an array of glass beads. This structure captures faint light from a distance (such as headlights hundreds of meters away) and precisely reflects it back into the driver's eyes, creating an "instant brightening" effect.
2)Intermediate Layer (Photoluminescent Layer): Contains a high concentration of phosphorescent material. During daylight or under artificial light, it greedily absorbs photon energy; when night falls or in dark environments like tunnels, it slowly releases this stored energy, emitting a soft, cool glow.
Where is it used? (Application Scenarios)
This material is highly popular in many safety-critical fields due to its "dual-protection" properties:
1)Transportation Safety:
Buses/Subways: Handrails, grab handles, and door edges inside carriages. Reflective during daylight; glow-in-the-dark effect guides passengers after lights are turned off.
2)Vehicle Markings: Side guardrails on construction vehicles and dump trucks. Visible when illuminated by headlights at night, and alert pedestrians through self-luminescence on unlit roads.
3)Tunnels & Underground Garages:
Wall contour markers assist drivers in maintaining directional awareness during sudden changes in lighting.
4)Vehicle Wraps:
Trendy "invisible wraps" or color-changing films appear as standard colors during the day. When illuminated by headlights or in darkness, they reveal unique patterns or fluorescent effects.
5)Creative Advertising:
Light boxes at malls or nightclubs maintain visual impact even after lights are turned off.
6)Safety Guidance:
Stair treads in homes, areas near hallway switches, and fire extinguisher cabinets.
7)Personalized Decor:
Wall decals and furniture films create distinctive nighttime ambiance.
